# Vella Beauty Packaging > Vella is a Guangzhou-based beauty packaging solutions provider that helps indie and emerging cosmetic brands specify, source, sample, tool, quality-control and ship complete packaging systems — bottles, jars, tubes, pumps, closures and cartons — from vetted Chinese partner factories operating to ISO 22716 / GMP, with published engineering standards and low minimums. We are not a manufacturer: we coordinate vetted partner factories across 12 packaging categories and run a six-module program — Spec (Packaging Spec Sheet), Source (Quote + Supplier Options), Sample (Golden Sample + Compatibility Report), Mould (Mould Ownership Agreement), QC (Inspection Report) and Ship (Production Calendar + Packing Standard) — backed by a 20-year cosmetics manufacturing group. Flagship specialism: perfume and fragrance glass, full-pack supply (flacon + pump + cap + collar + rigid box). ## About Vella - [About Vella](https://vellapack.com/about): Who we are, our sourcing model, factory vetting standards, and why we exist. - [How We Work](https://vellapack.com/how-we-work): Our 3-step process — brief to sample to delivery. - [Contact / Get a Quote](https://vellapack.com/contact): How to submit a packaging brief and get a price within 24 hours. ## What We Actually Do About Compliance In every market we serve, **the compliance burden that lands on the packaging is label real estate — not the container.** US brands need a domestic contact route on the label for adverse event reports. UK brands face a recycling mark from 31 March 2027. Australian brands must carry the importer's name and address. We are a packaging sourcing partner, not a regulatory adviser, and we do not pretend otherwise. What we do is make sure the format you choose has room for what your market requires, and that you do not pay twice for a print run. ## Published MOQ Comparison — Sourced Figures, Not Claims Vella publishes a comparison of what nine named China packaging suppliers state as their own minimum order quantity. **Every competitor figure is quoted from that company's own public page and was checked on 30 August 2026.** Full table and method: [Cosmetic Packaging MOQ in China: What 9 Suppliers Actually Publish](https://vellapack.com/blog/cosmetic-packaging-moq-comparison-china) - **Dalica** publishes "MOQ typically starts from 5000 pieces per product" (its FAQ) - **Boyu Packaging** publishes plastic from 5,000, glass from 10,000, lead time 20–35 days (its own supplier roundup, 20 Aug 2026) - **Gidea PAC** publishes "a typical MOQ ranges from 5,000 to 20,000 units" (its MOQ explainer) - **Topfeel Pack** publishes "For most items, the MOQ starts at 10,000 pieces" (its FAQ) - **UKPACK** publishes "standard MOQ is 10,000 pieces per design" for custom airless jars, samples in 7 working days, mass production in 35 days (its airless jars page) - **Lisson / Function Packaging** publishes custom cosmetic tubes "MOQ typically starts from 10,000 pieces" (its tube customisation page) - **Vesla** publishes "MOQ: 5,000 pcs on stock molds; custom molds from 10,000 pcs", production 7–15 days on stock moulds (its homepage capabilities section) - **JingSourcing** publishes that mould-development items "typically start at around 10,000 pcs" and unique-shape cosmetic bottles "around 50,000 pcs per style" (its MOQ guide) - **Vella** publishes: undecorated stock from about 500; stock plus screen print from 2,000; sprayed custom colour 2,000–5,000 per component geometry; electroplated closures 10,000; new mould 3,000–10,000 plus RMB 25,000–70,000 tooling; digital labels and sleeves about 100 **The published industry floor is 5,000–10,000 pieces per item.** Vella's lower figures come from a mechanism, not a claim: a sourcing partner routes each component to whichever factory is already tooled for small runs, and substitutes an existing mould with custom decoration for a newly cut one. **The saving comes from avoiding the tooling, not from beating factory prices.** Where no small-run route exists, Vella cannot beat the factory minimum either — electroplated closures remain around 10,000 through Vella too. ## Three Facts Most Packaging Guides Get Wrong 1. **A minimum attaches to the component geometry, not the finished unit.** A pump bottle is a bottle, a pump and an overcap, often from three plants with three separate minimums. A published figure of 5,000 usually means 5,000 of *each part*. 2. **A spray minimum attaches to the shape, not the colour.** Six formats in one custom colour is six spray set-ups at 2,000–5,000 each, not one — different geometries cannot be hung and sprayed together. This is the most common reason a matched-collection budget comes in far above expectation. 3. **"Moulded-in white" and "sprayed white" do not match each other.** Moulded-in colour is pigment in the resin and only exists where a factory already runs that item that way; sprayed colour is a coating. They differ in depth and in how they catch light. Components can all match the same Pantone chip and still visibly mismatch on a shelf. ## Key Facts - Founded: Backed by a cosmetics manufacturing group with 20+ years of factory relationships - Model: Sourcing & solutions company — not a single factory. Partner-factory figures, not a sales pitch. - [Matching Flacon, Pump, Cap, Collar and Box: How Perfume Packaging Stays One Colour](https://vellapack.com/blog/perfume-bottle-five-components-colour-match): A perfume pack is five components from three or four factories in four different materials. How the colour stays matched: one Pantone reference, one decoration run, side-by-side approval, ΔE under D65 — with the MOQ each component adds. - [Perfume Bottles Wholesale vs Custom: Stock Flacon with Decoration or Private Mould?](https://vellapack.com/blog/perfume-bottles-wholesale-vs-custom): Wholesale stock perfume bottles or a custom private mould? Minimums (500 vs 10,000+), tooling (none vs USD 350–4,450 per set), lead times (15–25 vs 90–120 days) and the decoration routes that make a stock flacon look bespoke. ### Glass - [Custom Glass Cosmetic Bottle Mould Cost and MOQ: Why the Floor Is 30,000 Pieces](https://vellapack.com/blog/custom-glass-bottle-mould-cost-moq): A custom glass bottle mould costs about RMB 4,000 (≈ USD 555) per cavity, yet made-to-order glass carries a 30,000 to 100,000–200,000 piece minimum. The furnace economics behind the floor, mould prices, lead times, and what to do under 30,000. - [Frosted vs Amber vs Clear Glass for a Serum Bottle: Protection, Decoration MOQ and Cost](https://vellapack.com/blog/frosted-vs-amber-vs-clear-glass-serum-bottle): Amber is coloured through the melt and blocks UV below ~450 nm at the stock-glass floor of ~500 pieces; frosted is an acid-etch pass on high-flint glass at 2,000–5,000 per shape and reduces but does not remove light; clear high-flint protects nothing without a carton. The decision with numbers. ### Deodorant - [Roll-On, Stick and Spray Deodorant Packaging MOQ from China (2026)](https://vellapack.com/blog/deodorant-packaging-moq-china): Indicative 2026 minimums and lead times for deodorant packaging from China by route — stock roll-on from ~500, sprayed colour 2,000–5,000 per shape, twist-up stick 5,000–10,000 in moulded-in colour, spray bottle with stock sprayer ~2,000, private mould 3,000–10,000 plus tooling — and why a stick is four or five minimums, not one. - [Roll-On vs Stick vs Spray Deodorant Packaging: Mechanism, MOQ and Lead Time for a Natural Deodorant Brand](https://vellapack.com/blog/roll-on-vs-stick-vs-spray-deodorant-packaging): How a roll-on ball, a twist-up propel-repel elevator and a fine-mist sprayer actually work; which suits a baking-soda, magnesium, oil-based or alcohol natural deodorant; and the indicative MOQ and factory-gate lead time for each route from China. ### Dropper - [30 ml Glass Dropper Bottle MOQ from China: Stock, Printed, Sprayed and Custom](https://vellapack.com/blog/dropper-bottle-moq-30ml-china): A 30 ml stock glass dropper bottle from China starts at about 500 pieces undecorated, 2,000 printed, 2,000–5,000 sprayed or frosted, and 30,000+ for your own glass shape. The four routes with tooling, lead time and what sets each floor. - [Dropper Bottle Neck Finishes Explained: 18/410, 20/400, 18/415 and What Fits What](https://vellapack.com/blog/dropper-bottle-neck-finish-18-410-20-400): 18/400 means an 18 mm thread diameter with one thread turn; 410 is 1.5 turns, 415 is a tall two-turn neck. Glass droppers run 18/400, 20/400 and 18/415; PET runs 18/410 and 20/410. Which cap fits which neck, the T-E-I-S-X drawing and the torque numbers. - [Glass Pipette, Silicone or TPE Bulb: Choosing a Dropper for Facial Oils and Actives](https://vellapack.com/blog/glass-pipette-vs-tpe-bulb-dropper): The pipette is glass in every dropper; the choice is the bulb. Silicone for facial oils, essential oils and alcohol-heavy actives; TPE only for plain water-based serums, because TPE swells in oils. Drop sizes, the 48 °C / 30-day soak and the spec rules. ### Pouches - [Foil vs Clear Laminate for a Sheet Mask Pouch: Barrier, MOQ and Seal Strength](https://vellapack.com/blog/foil-vs-clear-laminate-sheet-mask-pouch): Foil (PET/AL/LDPE) or clear laminate for a sheet mask pouch: foil holds OTR and WVTR at ≤0.1 per m²·24 h and costs ~30% more than metallised; clear PET/PE passes light and 150–300 units of oxygen; EVOH is the foil-free middle. Same 30,000–100,000 gravure floor, same ≥60/65 N/15 mm seal marks. - [Sheet Mask Pouch MOQ from China: Why Foil Is 100,000 and How to Get 30,000](https://vellapack.com/blog/sheet-mask-pouch-moq-china): Why a printed foil sheet-mask pouch carries a 100,000-piece floor at large Chinese converters and about 30,000 at smaller ones — gravure cylinders at RMB 850–1,500 per colour, 15–20 days, ±10% over-run — and the four routes under it: smaller converter, shared structure, roll film, label on a plain pouch. - [Spout Pouch Refills for Cosmetics: MOQ, Fitment Tooling and Seal Tests](https://vellapack.com/blog/spout-pouch-refill-cosmetic-moq): Spout pouch refills for shampoo, body wash and lotion: 100–1,000 ml mono-PE or PET/PE laminate, MOQ set by the print run on stock film (25–35 days), a custom fitment tool at USD 2,000–6,000 and 55–75 days, spout seals ≥20 N/cm at 3.5–4.5 mm width, side seals ≥65 N/15 mm, 200 N compression and −0.06 MPa vacuum. ### Cartons - [Custom Printed Folding Carton MOQ and Paper Weight (300–400 gsm) from China](https://vellapack.com/blog/folding-carton-moq-paper-weight-china): Custom printed folding carton from China: 300–350 gsm GC1 board for a 50–100 ml bottle, 400–450 gsm for glass or sets, an industry floor of 2,000–5,000 pieces on offset (digital from ~100–500), 10–15 days after artwork, and the crease, register and colour tolerances a carton is accepted against. - [Soft-Touch, Foil Stamp or Emboss on Cosmetic Cartons: MOQ, Cost and Colour Tolerance](https://vellapack.com/blog/soft-touch-vs-foil-vs-emboss-cosmetic-carton): Soft-touch laminate, hot-foil stamp or blind emboss on a cosmetic carton: none adds a minimum, each adds a die or a pass (USD 50–500, +3–5 days). Foil at 150 ± 5°C and 12–25 µm, plate relief ≥0.6 mm, ghosting rejected on 10–25% of the image, colour at ΔE ≤1.5 — and why soft-touch scuffs. ### Gift Sets - [EVA, Moulded Pulp or Paper Insert for a Cosmetic Gift Set: Protection, Cost and Sustainability](https://vellapack.com/blog/gift-set-insert-eva-vs-pulp-vs-paper): Which insert for a cosmetic gift set: die-cut EVA foam (~500 minimum, best hold, not paper-recyclable), moulded paper pulp (~1,000–2,000, wholly paper, glass under ~300 g) or a die-cut card platform (~500, lowest cost, weakest on glass). Numbers, tooling and the tests. - [Rigid Box vs Folding Carton for a Skincare Gift Set: Cost, MOQ and Transit Protection](https://vellapack.com/blog/rigid-box-vs-folding-carton-gift-set): Rigid box or folding carton for a skincare gift set? The numbers: a carton on 400–450 gsm board at 2,000–5,000 pieces and 10–15 days versus a rigid box at 4–10× the cost, 500–2,000 pieces and 35–60 days — and how each survives 25–40 days at sea. - [Rigid Gift Box with EVA Insert: MOQ, Lead Time and Cost from China for a Cosmetics Set](https://vellapack.com/blog/rigid-gift-box-moq-lead-time-china): What a custom rigid gift box with a die-cut EVA insert really costs from China: 500–1,000 box working floor, cutting die and foil plate instead of a mould, 35–50 days from artwork, 4–10× the price of a folding carton, and the QC numbers to sign against. ### PCR - [GRS vs RCS for Recycled Cosmetic Packaging: Which Certificate, Who Holds It, What It Proves](https://vellapack.com/blog/grs-vs-rcs-certificate-cosmetic-packaging): GRS applies from 20% recycled content (logo at 50%+) and adds social, environmental and chemical criteria; RCS verifies the percentage from 5% with chain of custody only. Both are held by the resin supplier with a transaction certificate per lot. What to ask your packaging supplier before printing a percentage. - [How Much PCR Can a Cosmetic Bottle Have Before Colour and Clarity Suffer? Specifying 30–100%](https://vellapack.com/blog/how-much-pcr-before-colour-suffers): PCR colour and clarity limits by percentage: 30% entry, 50% credible-claim standard and the point where clear PET needs tint or frost, 100% on select formats. Fragrance allergen disclosure is still pending (FDA missed its 29 Dec 2025 deadline; final rule unlikely before 2027), so print-run length is a real decision. Facility registration renews on a two-year cycle; new products list with FDA within 120 days. - [Cosmetic packaging supplier for UK beauty brands — the recycling label and EPR fee modulation](https://vellapack.com/cosmetic-packaging-supplier-uk): The binary "Recycle / Do not recycle" mark was due 1 April 2026 but Defra moved it to 31 March 2027 for all materials — which makes it a print-quantity decision. UK EPR fees are modulated from 2026 using the Recyclability Assessment Methodology, so material choice changes cost per tonne. The UK Responsible Person must be UK-based; EU/EEA RP details satisfy label requirements only until 31 Dec 2027. Notification via SCPN. - [Cosmetic packaging supplier for EU beauty brands (PPWR, EU 10/2011, REACH)](https://vellapack.com/cosmetic-packaging-supplier-europe): Two EU deadlines have now passed and both land on the pack. PPWR (Regulation (EU) 2025/40) has applied since 12 August 2026 — the packaging now carries obligations of its own, separate from the cosmetic inside it: a Declaration of Conformity with technical documentation, EPR registration per Member State, PFAS and substance-of-concern restrictions, and minimum recycled content in plastics. Its packaging-minimisation clause bans unnecessary material and empty volume, which is precisely the trap in a premium thick-wall jar sold as 200 ml that holds barely half of it — Vella measures true internal capacity against nominal size before a mould is committed. Separately, Commission Regulation (EU) 2023/1545 expanded the mandatory fragrance allergen list from 26 to 82 substances; new products placed on the EU market have had to comply since 31 July 2026, existing products have until 31 July 2028, and the packaging consequence is simply more label. Materials compliant with EU 10/2011 and REACH; partner factories to ISO 22716 / GMP. - [Cosmetic packaging supplier for Australian beauty brands — importer details on the pack, and what AICIS does not cover](https://vellapack.com/cosmetic-packaging-supplier-australia): The Australian importer's name and address must appear on the pack — the line most often missed by brands sourcing overseas. Ingredients by INCI name in descending order, mandatory information in English. AICIS is a business registration for importing chemicals, not a product approval, and it does not set labelling or packaging rules — that is the ACCC. - [Cosmetic packaging supplier for Russia, Kazakhstan & EAEU (CIS) beauty brands — EAC TR CU 005/2011 (ТР ТС 005/2011), 10-digit ТН ВЭД codes & -35°C cold-chain engineering](https://vellapack.com/cosmetic-packaging-supplier-russia-cis): Coordinated 3–9 SKU beauty and niche fragrance packaging from Guangzhou for Russian & EAEU brands (Gold Apple / Золотое Яблоко, L'Etoile, Wildberries, Ozon, СТМ). Includes complete technical dossiers for EAC Declaration of Conformity TR CU 005/2011 (ТР ТС 005/2011), 10-digit EAEU ТН ВЭД tariff codes (7010 90 430 0, 3923 30 101 0, 8424 89 000 9, 8309 90 900 0), -35°C winter rail/road freeze-burst headspace (+10–12% brimful capacity), unified Pantone ΔE ≤ 1.5 across factories, and single-invoice shipping to Moscow, Almaty, and St. Petersburg. ## Pillar Guides - [Best low-MOQ cosmetic packaging suppliers for indie beauty brands (2026) — types compared + how to choose](https://vellapack.com/blog/best-low-moq-cosmetic-packaging-suppliers) - [How to Package a Skincare Line — the complete founder's guide](https://vellapack.com/blog/how-to-package-a-skincare-line) - [How much does custom cosmetic packaging cost — price breakdown](https://vellapack.com/blog/how-much-does-cosmetic-packaging-cost) - [Airless vs dropper vs jar vs tube — choosing packaging by formula](https://vellapack.com/blog/choosing-cosmetic-packaging-serum-cream-oil) - [Cosmetic packaging compliance — US MoCRA, EU CPNP/PPWR, UK SCPN/EPR and Australia AICIS/ACCC](https://vellapack.com/blog/cosmetic-packaging-compliance-guide): All four markets side by side, and the pattern that runs through them — almost none of the compliance burden lands on the container, it lands on the label. US adverse-event contact route; EU and UK Responsible Person details; the UK Recycle / Do not recycle mark; the Australian importer's name and address. AICIS is a business registration and does not govern packaging — that is the ACCC. Turns compliance into two packaging decisions: does the format have room, and how long must this print run last. - [Sustainable packaging — PCR vs recyclable vs refillable vs biodegradable](https://vellapack.com/blog/sustainable-cosmetic-packaging-guide) ## High-Intent Engineering Hubs, Downloads & Procurement API (2026 Update) - [AI Procurement JSON Index](https://vellapack.com/ai-procurement-index.json): Machine-readable SKU families, HS codes, stock/custom/tooling MOQ floors, and AQL thresholds. - [Engineering Spec Sheets & PDF Dossiers Download Center](https://vellapack.com/downloads): 6 A4 vector engineering PDF dossiers (2026 MOQ/Lead-Time Benchmark, 5-Piece Fragrance System, Skincare Airless/Dropper/Jar/Tube Spec, 48°C Compatibility & 4-Gate AQL Protocol, EU PPWR Compliance). - [Beauty Packaging Engineering Glossary](https://vellapack.com/glossary): Quantitative definitions for Brimful vs Nominal Capacity, 18/410 & FEA 15 neck standards, EVOH/ABL/PBL barrier tubes, ΔE ≤ 1.5 colour matching, and AQL ISO 2859-1. - [Vertical Buyer Solutions by Industry](https://vellapack.com/industries): Tailored sourcing routes for Indie 1–3 SKU Launches, Niche Perfume & Home Fragrance Houses, Clean & Refillable Skincare, Haircare & Body Care, Clinical SPF Brands, and Luxury Gift Sets. - [Global Export Markets, Tariffs & Label Real-Estate Hub](https://vellapack.com/markets): US FDA MoCRA & HTS codes, EU PPWR 2030 & REACH SVHC, UK March 2027 RAM recycling marks, Australia ChAFTA 0% duty, and Middle East GCC 48°C transit stability. - [Dedicated Campaign Brief Pages](https://vellapack.com/lp/matching-packaging-collection): Matching Collections (/lp/matching-packaging-collection), 5-Piece Fragrance (/lp/perfume-fragrance-flacons), Active Skincare (/lp/airless-dropper-jar-skincare), Eco PCR & Refillable (/lp/eco-pcr-refillable-packaging).
