US market: what MoCRA actually changes on your pack.
MoCRA's packaging consequence is label real estate, not the container. Every US cosmetic label must now carry a domestic address, domestic phone number or electronic contact through which the responsible person can receive adverse event reports. On a 500 ml body wash that is trivial. On a 15 ml eye serum it is space you have to design in rather than squeeze in, and it is the single most common thing brands discover after artwork is signed off.
Fragrance allergen disclosure is coming, but it is not final. FDA missed its statutory deadline of 29 December 2025; a proposed rule is expected during 2026 and a final rule is unlikely to take effect before 2027. A label run printed today can legally omit it — a label run intended to last into 2027 probably cannot. We tell you which side of that line your print quantity puts you on, so you choose a reprint rather than inherit one.
Two dates that belong in your launch calendar, even though they are your obligation and not ours. Facility registration renews on a two-year cycle, with the first cosmetics renewal window expected in July 2026. A product launched now must be listed with FDA within 120 days of going to market.
