Low Minimums · Small-Batch Sourcing

Low MOQ cosmetic packaging

High minimums are the single biggest barrier for a new beauty brand. Vella sources cosmetic packaging at genuinely low MOQ from vetted Chinese partner factories — so you can launch a line, test a format or run a limited edition without committing to tens of thousands of units. Small trial runs, custom-capable, QC included on every order.

Why Vella

Small quantities, without the usual compromises.

01

Low minimums across every format

We route your brief to factories that accept small trial runs — bottles, jars, tubes, droppers, pouches and cartons — so you order what you can realistically sell first.

02

Custom-capable at small runs

Most low-MOQ options elsewhere are stock shapes only. Because we work across a vetted factory network, we can often get custom colour, print and finish at low volumes — not just off-the-shelf.

03

QC on every order — even small ones

Pre-shipment inspection is standard on every production run, whatever the size. Low MOQ never means lower quality control.

04

One relationship as you scale

Start small across several formats through one partner, then scale the winners. No re-sourcing, no juggling five factories as your volumes grow.

Questions

Frequently asked

What is a low MOQ for cosmetic packaging?
MOQ (minimum order quantity) is the smallest number of units a factory will produce in one run. Traditional factories often set minimums in the tens of thousands. Vella works with partner factories that accept much smaller trial runs, so emerging brands can start with low minimums and scale as they sell — exact minimums depend on the format, material and level of customization.
Can I get custom cosmetic packaging at a low MOQ?
Often yes. Fully custom tooling (a new mould) carries higher minimums, but custom colour, custom print, custom finish and decoration on existing shapes can usually be done at low volumes. Send us your brief and we'll tell you which parts of your design are low-MOQ-friendly and which need higher volumes.
Why do factories set high MOQs, and how does Vella lower them?
High minimums exist because factory setup, tooling and material runs have fixed costs a factory wants to spread over a big order. Vella lowers your effective minimum by matching your brief to factories whose setup suits small runs, by using stock components where sensible, and by consolidating several small orders into one relationship.
Which packaging formats have the lowest minimums?
Stock bottles, jars, droppers and sample sachets typically have the lowest minimums. Fully custom-moulded shapes and complex multi-component gift sets carry higher minimums. We'll always propose the lowest-minimum route that still hits your brand look.
Do low-MOQ orders still include quality control?
Yes. QC inspection is included on every order regardless of size — we verify against your approved sample before goods ship. A small order is often a brand's first impression with customers, so getting it right matters even more.
